Doorstep deliveries have been around for years and we are proud to have continued this tradition. However, increased awareness of our environment has made this traditional service even more relevant in the modern world.
All of our milk is produced on the farm by our own herd of Holstein Friesian cows. The milk is then processed and bottled in our on-site dairy, from where it is collected by the milkman and delivered direct to the doorstep. This means the 'food miles' are kept to the bare minimum and you can be assured that the milk you get on your doorstep is as fresh as possible.
When you return your empty milk bottles, they are washed and sterilised before being refilled for their next journey to the doorstep.
Each bottle makes an average of 13 journeys before being recycled, unlike plastic containers that make just the one journey!
Although most customers have a standing order each week, if you find that you have too much or too little milk, just let us know and we can adjust your order. No more guessing the amount of milk you will use for the week, then throwing it away when you don’t use it and no more trips to the shop just to get more milk.
If the children need whole milk and Mum wants skimmed, just order a pint of each. We are happy to deliver different combinations of milk on each delivery day.
This is a list of Frequently Asked Questions, but if you have any others please feel free to email the dairy at enquiries@tdgoodall.co.uk.
Our milk is delivered by both independent and in-house milkmen and women. The independent milkmen and women set their own prices and do their own administration and as such we are unable to publish prices – but you will be pleasantly surprised when you compare them to the other doorstep delivery companies. Furthermore, there are no delivery charges and no minimum orders.
Our customers set up a ‘standing order’ for their weekly deliveries. You can of course adjust this if you need to, add additional items or cancel your order during your holidays by simply informing the milkman (ideally in advance!)
You only ever pay for what you have had and only after you have received it. If you are delivered to by an in-house milkman, we invoice monthly and we will ask you to sign up for payments by variable direct debit. If you are delivered to by an independent milkman, they will confirm how they wish you to pay them – either by direct debit, bank transfer or cheque. We would prefer it if you did not leave cash out for the milkman.
You are free to stop your deliveries at any time. Please try to give your milkman a few days’ notice (ideally longer) of your intention to do so. They will then provide you with a final invoice. Please make sure you leave any empty milk bottles out for the milkman to collect.
The map shows the areas our milkmen currently cover. Unfortunately, there may be small pockets within this area that we are not able to cover, but we will inform you if this is the case.
Please complete this short form and we will send you all the information you require, including prices. We will aim to respond within 2 working days.

Always rinse your milk bottles out and put them out daily for the milkman to collect, rather than just once a week.
Please try to give advance warning of your changes/cancellations, this will save the milkman having to make unnecessary or additional visits to your house. You can email the office or use the Existing Customer Form, until 3pm weekdays and 11am on Saturday.
Please pay electronically if you are able to. We would prefer it if you did not leave cash on the doorstep for security reasons.
Please let us know of any changes you would like to make to your regular order or let us know stop and start dates for your holidays.
